"Butler County Court House, Hamilton, Ohio." color postcard, circa 1910, trace of cancel ink on front, corner & edge wear, faint corner crease. "Cincinnati University from Burnett Woods. / Mr. E. H. Margileth / Will call DEC 10 1908" E. R. Webster & Co. (Teas, Coffees, Cigars & Extracts) salesman's advertising postcard printed in Germany, published by Kraemer Art Company, mailed DEC 3 1908 to P. H. Reed in London Ohio, some cancel ink shows in the front sky, minor corner & edge wear. Later the object of FDA & US Department of Agriculture scrutiny, a seizure of their peach extract occurred in 1910 due to 'adulteration and misbranding', to which they plead guilty & were fined. Why the fuss? Peach extract was used medicinally for a wide variety of purposes: improving men's sex life, worming children, poison ivy, etc. $9.00 o(c)mgk

"Clara Baur Memorial Fountain and Conservatory of Music, Cincinnati, Ohio." Kraemer art postcard mailed July 29 1924 from Cincinnati to Mrs. Clarence Noble in Burlington Wisconsin, minor corner wear, light toning on back includes a water stain along the left top edge that cannot be detected from the front. "Conservatory of Music, Cincinnati, Ohio" including 5 young women & 2 older women seated on the lawn; Kraemer Art post card mailed SEP 23 1918 from Cincinnati Station C (light flag cancel) to Miss Milford Thompson of Seaman Ohio, spotty dark toning near the top of both sides obscures nothing. Not in the Bowden Collection. [It is simply our speculation, but this may afford a rare view of Directress Clara Baur seated at the right.] $9.00 o(c)mk

Reed in London Ohio, small bottom corner crease, other corners with mild rounding & wear, a little cancel ink on front, toning both sides near the bottom edge. In 1890, at Monmouth Park, Salvator established the world record for the mile that was to last for 28 years. "Militia on Guard in Union Depot, Dayton, Ohio, after Greatest Flood in Modern History, / March 28, 1913" post card with dark red caption, contemporaneous writing on back, unusual subject matter, minor bottom corner wear. The Militia Act of 1903 created a National Guard force that could be be used by state governors to respond to disasters & emergencies. $9.00 komds
"Mountain Teamsters, resting on / Horse-shoe Bend, / near Ashland, Ky." Kraemer Art post card numbered 1795 on back, printed in Germany, mailed at Ashland MAR 22 1909 to Mr. Loni Schmauch in Atlanta Georgia (from Nellie and Lillie who mention their Aunt Louise), minor corner & edge wear, rare. There are 2 wagons in line, going from left-to-right on an upward-sloping path as we see them, stopped with men dismounted to give their horses a rest. Rare: the only place we could find it was in the outstanding collection of the Kentucky Historical Society. Mailed June 24 1909 at Cincinnati to Mrs. J. H. Johnson in Richmond Indiana, minor corner & edge wear, faint small bottom corner crease.
